- Availability of Updates for XP
- Posted by pc nerd on May 17th, 2008
I know that Microsoft stops selling XP on June 30th. When does regular
support for XP end? When does extended support for XP end? Will Microsoft
continue to provide Updates until regular or extended support ends? Which one?
I want to build a PC & I want to continue to download Updates until support
ends. When support does end, I want to have the most up-to date version of XP
saved as an image.
Thank you.

See http://www.microsoft.com/windows/lifecycle/default.mspx
Support for WinXP SP2 will end in less than 2 years; WinXP SP3 will be
supported well into 2014.
