AVG Anti Virus Free and Auto Update

I'm going to replace Symantec Antivuris with Grisoft's free edition.
How can I set it so that it automatically updates itself when online
(they use dialup)? Ideally it would be transparent and only let the
user know if there is a problem.
I'm using version 344a618

Open the Test Center and go to Scheduler. Ask at the AVG forum.

AVG updates via the Internet as well as dial-up.

AVG 7 Free will automatically update itself at the scheduled time if the
computer is already connected to the Internet. For users that do not have
an "always on" internet connection, you can go to the AVG Control Panel,
then to the Update section, then to setting and pick the dialup tab. There
you can set it to automatically dialup, get the update and hang-up when
done. This will automate the update if the computer is ON, but not
connected to the internet. One catch. The user must have the dialup
password memorized to the dialer hangs.

AVG 7 Free is fully automatic and the only message you should see are the
confirmation of the update and the confirmation of the scan. These will
also go away in 30 seconds if you don't respond.

Sorry for the frag. Got interrupted while composing the
reply. It is, of course, possible to schedule computer to
dial the ISP and connect to Grisoft's update server.
