A STOP: 0x00000019 BAD_POOL_HEADER error is a very uncommon problem
and I cannot find any documented instances of this error with Windows
XP in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

As upgrades from XP Home to XP Pro are just about as bullet-proof as
any operating system upgrade can be my inclination would be to suspect
an outside factor as the cause of your problem. Check the CD itself
and make sure that the data surface is clean and free from scratches
or blemishes (such as fingerprints). Clean it with warm water and a
soft, lint-free cloth.

If your computer will no longer boot into Windows, try booting from
the XP Pro Upgrade CD and see if that will resume/complete the upgrade
process for you.

Good luck

RAID on a laptop? Wow. I have never seen a laptop that would support
more than a single hard drive.

To boot from the CD you need to access the BIOS setup and change the
boot priority sequence so that the CD is checked before the hard
drive.

Good luck
