- Baseline Security Analyser displays SQL fault but SQL Server not installed
- Posted by Uncle John on October 8th, 2005
I recently installed and ran Microsoft Baseline Security Analyser vs. 2.
Afterwards a moderate security fault with regard to the SQL configuration
was reported: SQL server access permissions are in mixed mode.
The method proposed by MSBSA for fixing the fault is not possible because I
do not have SQL Server installed.
I have Office 2003 including Access installed and I wonder if the message is
due to the MSBSA detecting my Access data bases which do use SQL queries?

Carey
Thanks. I was just wondering whether to use a third part uninstaller to
remove SQL Server from Program Files as it does not appear as an installed
program in Control Panel
