'.' becomes ',' at times !
Posted by MoiMeme on January 6th, 2006

Hi,

sometimes all of a sudden the '.' becomes a ',' when I type it on the
keyboard, be it alpha part of keyboard or numpad
Same behaviour in all programs tested once it appears ( first thought it was
related to one program I was running when it happened) : notepad, calc,
office apps etc

I have to reboot to recover normal keyboard behaviour.

Any idea as to causes and remedy ?

TIA

You sure that it's not your eye problem?

First make sure it's not a problem with the keyboard somehow sending a wrong
signal on occasion by susbstituting a different keyboard.

Try a different keyboard. If the problem goes away, discard the original
keyboard.
