- Best way to use Remote Desktop with laptop and file server/media center; any suggestions for improvement?
- Posted by Joel on January 10th, 2006
I have an old desktop with no monitor (file server) in the living room next
to my entertainment center. I use it to play music from and to play
pictures/recorded video/games on the TV. I have a laptop also, which I use
to connect to the file server. Right now I am using Windows XP Remote
Desktop through my laptop to connect to the fileserver in order to turn the
music and games on.
What I want to know is if there is anything different I could be doing? Is
there anything better or an easier way to do what I am doing? I ask because
I have only recently started doing this and using Remote Desktop.
