Can an upgraded bios setting be reverted back to it default setting.

Thanks for your response,
I mistakenly deleted the original BIOS, (I think is was A13) and in
attempting to retrieve it at the Dell downloads site where I could not find
the A13, I installed an A23 which I thought might help. (I was grasping for
straws). The computer seems to be working fine and I think I should really
leave well enough alone I'm just curious to find out if the default setting
is an option.
OS WinXPHomeEd upgraded from WinXPME. Dell Inspiron 4000.
