- Bizarre Problems With Numerous Objects

Okay, I will give you a list of what I have seen thus far and how I have
attempted (and failed) to fix these things.
One, www.HotMail.com failed to load, or after having authenticated my
login, it displayed a white screen to which I could do nothing. Two,
Yahoo IM has failed to load as well, yet whenever I type they see what
I am typing and reply, but all that is displayed is a white screen, as
is the same in Yahoo Chat. Javascript buttons fail to open any links, I
have attempted to download all versions of Sun Java Software and have
found no help in that, then I downloaded a version of VirtualMachine by
Microsoft and have found no help in that either, even after I switched
the Internet Tools from Java to VM. I can not restore my computer due
to the fact that Computer Restore and a number of things in my control
panel display white screens. Earlier I felt I had found a virus and
attempted to search through a Temporary Internet Files folder to find
the virus' exact location and the Search Screen simply said "Search
Companion" and the rest of it was blank. I have also been unable to
print directly from websites, and have had to copy it over to Microsoft
Word to be able to print it. I do not want to have to redo all of this
being as this is a business computer, so please try and give me as
much advice as possible. Hopefully you can see a link between two or
more of the above problems and help me figure this out. Being a
computer buff and a software geek I have hardly ever had trouble fixing
these sort of things but this leaves me dumb-founded. Please help.

Hummm I wonder it it's displaying white text on a white background? Not
sure how that can happen.

We're experiencing changed behaviour after the latest updates with an
ASP .NET application that loads a page into the IE search companion
window. For some users it loads into the search companion window
correctly but also loads into (and over-writes the page in) the parent
window. For other users, it doesn't load at all.

No, it displays no white text in the BackGround. In the lower left-hand
corner of Internet Explorer, and may I add that I updated to Internet
Explorer 6 after having had this problem drawn to my attention. I will
give you all of the information I could about my computer and if you
wish to know more I will attempt to draw that up as well. I am using
BellSouth Internet Service Provider, DSL, with a Westell Model 2200
Modem very new so possibly with all recent updates. Actually that and
it's being Windows XP is the only thing that would be important in my
eyes. This just happened over-night and I have scanned for viral
infections and malicious software and found none.

So... Is there any way to fix it? Put it in simple terms please.
