- Bizarre Web Page Behavior
- Posted by Treeskier on February 19th, 2006
Immediately after I had a technician come out to the house to check the
cable line speed (because I was barely crawling even to get online) my
msnbc.msn.com web page (Homepage) became an exploded view! Most of the
text is so big, one sentence takes up a couple/three lines...other text is
blue rather than black...some text is normal. None of the settings have
been changed and I've checked on other computers and none are experiencing
this behavior....It is ONLY this one web page on this computer...my
homepage. No other web pages display incorrectly at all!!!!!!!
Now, the only things that I think might have happened on that day other than
the tech checking the line was a failed Java update and I had a windows
update that failed twice before finally installing. I've checked the Java
and it says it is updated? The windows update is there...and the technician
says he didn't change a thing...
What could cause just one web page on one computer to behave in such a
manner...other than being designated as my homepage it is no different than
any other web page??? I've removed it as my homepage and tried to bring it
up from the web but it still displays abnormally no matter what I've tried
so far...ran all the spyware removers as well...
Any help will be most appreciated......Thanks

Clear all your offline content, ie : temp internet files, etc and try again.
I use CCleaner to clear my cache, you can download it from the link below.
http://www.ccleaner.com
Let me know if that helps ?
