Black Screen Operating system not found
Posted by Marsha on October 22nd, 2005

When I try to start my computer, I get a black screen:
Operating system not found and a flashing little bar
What do I need to do now to get my Windows XP back?
Thanks
Marsha

Thanks Galen...I did the Repair/Format. It was easier than I thought it
would be. I know NOT to get on the internet with it until I add SP2 (I have
the disk), add virus protection, & have a firewall enabled so I will
probably be posting back one day next week when I sit down to get it ready
for the internet to be sure I don't leave anything out. I appreciated the
reply & help.

Take a look here:

www.kgiii.info (I admit it's mine but then again I also admit I make
absolutely nothing from it and that it's pretty nekkey for content really)
and you'll find some firewall and other security software solutions for free
that will enable you to connect with a bit more comfort.

There's a forum but it's seldom used though you're free to take advantage of
it if you'd like. But there's a list of the stuff I generally have to say as
it's being slowly converted to HTML and awaiting additions. That might help
you on your way.
