Having a very strange problem.

When I click on Start/Programs.....often the window that opens is blank for
about 5-10 seconds. Then it shows my programs.

This happens when I click in other operatins, also. Just a grey area
opens...........5-10 seconds later the options, programs, whatever appear.

But it is very disconcerting to have to wait.

I reformatted and reinstalled WinXP a couple weeks ago for another reason,
but it was doing the same thing before the reinstallation.

I have 512 RAM, so that shouldn't be the problem.

Any suggestions????
