Does anyone no where the wallpaper "bliss" was taken?

Posted by Carey Frisch [MVP] on March 4th, 2006

The "Bliss" image was taken outside Napa, California.
It was chosen because it illustrates the experiences
Microsoft strives to provide customers
(freedom, possibility, calmness, warmth, etc.).

And then they go and mess it all up with activation and WGA, assuming
their paying customers are thieves until they prove otherwise. How free,
possible, calm and warm, etc., can you get?

The sheep must be on the other side of the hill on my version of Bliss.bmp.

Say that the images are from MS New Zealand?

I don't ever recall seeing sheep in Napa, California.. lots of wineries,
but never sheep.

Because that is the Christmas theme from MS New Zealand. It came out
this past Christmas, I believe. The actual location of the American
Bliss background is just over that hill in the meadow to the right. ;-)

I think they should spend less time taking pictures and more time improving
their operating system.
