I have this problem with my pc
everyonce in a while it blue screen
even though if you are not running anything.
Sometime on the Login screen if you leave it
it blue screen. sometime when you are surfing
and the blue screen is not clear ; just saying that
windows has stopped and it didnt say what driver
or anything it just say it is 0x000000008 something like
that.. the PC is Windows XP Pro SP2 / Upgraded from
W2K SP4 ( didnt have any problem when it was W2K)
The Event Viewer didnt say much... Ran Virus Scan (McAfee)
with the updated dat files and No viruses were found...
I have no idea why it is Blue Screening ..
Any help will be appreciated..

You will need the exact STOP message and hex codes in order to get any help with finding the cause. If you have recently made any changes to your system those are prime suspects, but it could be just about anything until more details are given.
