Briefcase: Opening multiple files via Right mouse click
Posted by xppuser on March 14th, 2006

hi all,

wxp pro sp2

was not sure whether this is a bug of the os. i have a briefcase created on
my desktop. i wanted to open multiple files simulataneously. in an
non-briefcased folder, all i have to do was to select the files then right
mouse click, select open, and the files are opened. in the briefcased folder,
when i select multiple files to be opened, i received a message box instead
that says the files are ready to be updated even though nothing needs to be
updated. the only way to open these files (within the briefcased folder) were
to open them one by one.

is this a bug or am i not doing something right?

appreciate help and advise.

You can ring, but if they disagree that it is a bug you'll need to pay for the call. So no in a practical sense.

I agree with you but FWIW, I have used the feedback button at the bottom of
the screen to send my error messages to Microsoft. I don't expect miracles,
but would be nice even to just get an acknowlegment. What with Vista coming,
I don't think MS would bother correcting theses bugs in XP but maybe they
would do it for Vista but first they need to be aware of the bugs, hence my
'public service'.

Thanks for your confirmation,
jes
