- burn cd /dvd function in win xp

Hi all
I would like to know is it possible to burn cd in winxp without using the
GUI, what i want is to use command to auto write something in the cd / dvd
every night
Please advice.

XP won't write natively to DVD to begin with.

Dunno. I save all my personal data to a different partition. I only use
CDs for archiving old stuff to get it off the PC for good. I've stayed away
from filesystem level backup software that codes the data for recovery in
its own environment for over two years now. This type software will save
changes to your backup as scheduled. XP's backup will not save to cd or
cdrw.
