Can I delete "windows installer package"?
Posted by Leafgreen on November 14th, 2005

Hello. I want to delete unnecessary files in C:\WINDOWS\
Please tell me if you think it'd be ok for me to delete C:\WINDOWS\Installer
which contains a lot of installers. Once the appz are installed, are the
installers still necessary?
Also I have a folder C:\WINDOWS\inf which contains "Setup Information" and
"Precompiled Setup Information" files. Can I delete that folder too?
TIA!!!

Unless youre deleting files/folders from a Temp folder in windows, you
should leave all alone....

If you are trying to delete unnecessary files on your PC, try CCleaner.

OK if the files are in temp/tmp or internet cache directories.
Otherwise, let it be.
