- Can I install Microsoft Works without a problem?

Since my data was destroyed when installing Windows XP, do you think it would
be wise for me to purchase and install Microsoft Works so that I can start
fresh again with Windows? If I install it will I have problems?

I may be missing your point, but why would you expect to have problems by
installing Works? If Works is a product you like and want, then go ahead and
buy and install it.

I'm not sure why installing a current version of MS Works would unwise.
Current versions of MS Works are naturally compatible with XP. If you
need the program, buy it and install it. If you are concerned about the
installation, make a System Restore point before you install the
program.

Works includes a word processor, spreadsheet, and small-scale database
manager. It runs just fine on WinXP.
You might check www.openoffice.org for more powerful word processor,
spreadsheet, DB, etc for free.
