Every time I double click on a network connection, or right click to check
the status, nothing happens. I can go into all connection properties and can
still repair them, I simply cannot view their status.

Thoughts?

you must check if your network card not are malfunction, in device manager

This is definately NOT a hardware problem, unless both my fire wire ports
(one onboard, the network card is onboard also, one external firewire) have
suddenly malfunctioned at the same time.

I still cannot check status of any network connection, though I can connect
fine. Could this be a windows problem? Perhaps a virus?

Any help is much ablidged!
