Cannot map network drives
Posted by Johan L on January 19th, 2006

Hi!

I can no longer use the net use command on my Win XP computer. The error
message is "The Workstation service has not been started." If i try to do it
from the explorer the error message is "The drive could not be mapped cause
no network was found"

When I Check in services or try to start the workstation service manually it
seems to be started ok.

I'm getting an IP address from the dhcp-server and Internet works just fine.

Have a look at the Event Viewer (eventvwr.exe) to find out
why the workstation service did not start.
