All of the links for programs on my desktop are bad. They are all this blank
white page icon. I am not able to open any programs from the desktop. Then
when I go to the start menu all of those links are bad...with the little
white page icon. I am not able to get into "My Computer" "Control
Panel".....or anything. If anyone has run into this or knows why my system
is so messed up....please help. Thanks in advance.

Try Doug Knox's .lnk association fix:

If that doesn't work, do a System Restore to when everything worked
(presumably not long ago).
