- Cannot See Properties of Folder
- Posted by Kevin on October 28th, 2005
If I right click on a folder in Windows XP and select properties I do not get
stats of folder. It is as if Windows is ignoring my request. Has anyone
else had this problem and if so how did you resolve this problem? Thanks in
advance.

Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers

Are you running XP Pro? I have seen IIS cause this problem. Look in Services
and see if IIS is trying to start the following services, World Wide Web
Publishing, Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, and FTP Publishing.
If any of these services are not fully started or initialized, disable the
service and reboot and try the Folder Properties context menu.

In addition:
Are you running Windows XP Professional, with IIS installed? If so, read
