- can't copy multiple files--error code 'cannot read from source file"
- Posted by joanne@mentorme.info on December 10th, 2005
I used to do intermittend backups by searching all files in "My
documents" that had been modified in the last week, then highlight them
all and copy them to a folder, which I then copied to a disk, no
problem.
Yesterday I tried to do this, and I got an error message: can't copy
files, cannot read from source file or disk.
Does anyone out there have an explanation and a fix? Thanks for any
help.

At least one file was in use when you tried to copy the files. Reboot and
try it again.
