- Can't delete FONTS
- Posted by jim on November 9th, 2005
Some fonts from an unknown source has appeared on my system. Rather than
having a .ttl extension, they have a .fon extension.
I have repeatedly attempted to delete these fronts but when my screen
refreshes, they reappear.
I've tried removing all variables, ie read only, archive, hidden but nothing
helps getting rid of them.
I have gone into the registry and removed the .fon file extension as well
but I'm still unable to delete them.
Does anyone have any miracle for me ?

these are most likely the windows system fonts. they may have 'appeared'
after you disabled the 'hide protected operating system files' option
windows file protection is preventing the files from being deleted, which is
good as you dont really want to delete them
cheers

You can’t move or delete fonts with the .fon extension as those are the
system fonts.
