I can not open some of my programs including control panel, my computer, my
documents, windows explorer and some other folders. I have ran norton
utilities, norton anti virus and several adware programs and still cant open
the programs. hope someone can help

Try installing xp cd,exit the info page,then go to run,type:cmd In cmd
type:Sfc /Scannow When its thru type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to restart,
then type:EXIT Restart computer,remove cd.If that doesnt work,try creating
a new user account,open xp in new,if all is ok,the old account is corrupted.
