- CD Formatting (quick format)
- Posted by kkintuc on December 29th, 2005
I installed a CD-RW in my home computer and the files that were available
have been compressed and made unavailable. I see the disk space still has
them, but I cannot access them. How do I regain access?

You're post is a bit confusing. What do you mean by "the files that
were available have been compressed and made unavailable."? What files,
where, how do you know they were compressed?

I had files from previous use on the CD and when I installed the CD into
another computer...the CD was "quick formatted" and I lost access to the
files.

Again it's not clear. Are you saying you have a CD-RW with files on it
burned on another computer. You put this CD-RW in a different computer
and the CD was formatted? What software did you use to burn the CD-RW
and what did you try to do when you used it in the different computer?
Where you using the same software? If it was formatted then the files
may be lost. Try Isobuster.
