- Changing administrator name

How does one change the administrator name? I just don't like 'Circuit
City', even if I bought it there.

You don't really want to delete it per se -- just disable the account. But
BEFORE you disable the Admin account please make sure that YOUR USER has
Administrator Access.

It's my computer and I only have access to it, no other users!

It is recommended to keep the Admin account as a backup account. You can
change the user name (not the account name) in that account. What version
of XP are you running?

In Administrative Tools, go to Local Security Settings --> Security Options.
In the right hand pane, 4th from the top, you'll see: "Accounts: Rename
Administrator Account". Double click that, delete the existing name and then
type in whatever you want to use in its place.

Scrubber
Would Local Security Policy be the same thing, and if so which option do
I use, (see below), I'm using Windows XP Media Edition

I'm afraid I've only got the Win XP Pro flavour installed on my own machine
Nick, but I would imagine the options would be in the same location.
