I've always used my WinXP SP1 by logging in as Administrator. Now,
finally, I've gotten satellite internet instead of the dialup and want
to log in as a restricted user and use Administrator only for changes.

Can I just copy the Administrator profile to the new user then change
the security settings?

My goal, obviously, is just to be able to continue on with the same
documents, settings, favorites, etc. after starting to use the
restricted account.
