I would like to use the fractional display of 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4's in E-mail
and other places. I can find, in the Character Map, all the 'thirds' and
'eighths' but not the 'quarters.' Surely they must be there somewhere for I
can insert the 'quarters' in Word with no problem.

Will someone please point me to them in the Character Map? That assumes
that they are there of course.

In the Symbol window on Word, choosing the font Arial, they are in the
middle of the fifth row down (on my version). 33 characters after the lower
case z
(shortcut key is Alt+0188 or 0189 or 0190 for quarter, half and three
quarters)

In Windows XP Character Map (Start-->All
Programs-->Accessories-->CharacterMap) choosing Arial again, they are in the
same order (this time in the 7th row on my version because the rows are
shorter). Again, they can be found 33 characters after the lower case z.
