Anyone here know if a tool like this is available:

Something that can be run from the command line or a script that will
give a full report on the system such as Belarc advisor or Everest or
windows own system info do in gui mode.

I want to get a text report like that (or html) at the end of each
full backup and insert a dated text report into the backup directory.
I'm using acronis9 and it has provision for running a command before
and after if desired.

From the Everest help file:
"Only EVEREST Corporate Edition supports command-line options. List of
them can be reviewed in main menu / Help / Command-line Options. Full
list of command-line options with explanation is available in the
EVEREST Manual. Using command-line options it is possible to create
reports with custom layout in any of the supported report formats.
Created reports can be saved to file, inserted to SQL database, sent
in e-mail or uploaded to a FTP server."

Plus if you want to know what programs were started with what parameters

wmic process get name,commandline

There is also Systeminfo (which gives system up time)

and 20 million other things. If you want to know something specific ask that specific question.

Both responses were quite usefull and please excuse my shallow perusal
of both those tools. I totally missed the command line options when I
looked at them. It appeared one needed the gui running to generate
txt output. And the everest tool goes to some length to explain the
cmdline options.
