- Control Panel icons

How do you remove an icon from the Control Panel. I have two Windows Media
Connect icons there and I want to remove one of them. Thanks.

Try going to Start>Run type: regedit Navigate to
HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr ent
Version\Explorer\Control Panel\Namespace. Expand and check for two
instances of WMC. If there, delete one.

The icons can be from .CPL files in Windows\System32 folder or any other
folders. Here is a guide that helps you remove the unwanted icons from
Control Panel.
