- ctrl alt del ??? problem

when my machine locks up i hit ctrl alt del but thers no menu...only a cpu
monitor??

Double click anywhere on the border of Task Manager.

You're running Task Manager in what's called "Small Footprint Mode." To
change back and forth from this mode to regular mode, just double-click on
the border.

I think your task manager is hijacked by a spyware.
Run a good Spyware like Adware.
