- Cursor Control

Dell Inspiron 1000 Notebook. Unlike most cursor problems I have been reading
about, I seem to have a very touchy finger pad. Just touching the pad will
move the cursor all over the screen. This lasts for awhile then it fixes
itself. It has done it since purchase one year ago. Still on warranty, but
I don't want to go through the hassel of returning it. This is to notebook
users. Have you had any similiar problems?

Personally I have a problem controlling any touchpad, and don't like them at
all. I just plug a mouse into a USB port on my laptop and use it instead.

It's been my experience that adjusting the sensitivity of the touchpad
is the best way to correct the issue.
