- customizing "my recent documents" folder in start menu

How do I customize the Documents folder in the Start menu, so that it only
displays recently used Office & .pdf files (without .rar, .gif, etc. files)?

I think you might need some specialized add-in to do this (or at least a
script/batch file to delete all undesirable items from the Recent folder).
