Damaged opening folder with left double click (Access is denied)...
Posted by Vladimir Stefanovic on October 14th, 2005

Hi,

I tried to accomplish creation of custom context menu
item to display contents of that folder.

That can be done via:
Explorer / Tools / Folder Options / File Types

Unfortunately, I 'succeded' to damage the standard
'open' folder functionality, and now I cannot view
the contents of any folder by left double clicking.

Don't ask me, I do not know how I did that.

'Explore' still works fine...

Can someone please suggest me a tool for repairing
this, or the registry entry I have to update?

Vladimir,

Type in Start, Run:

regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

If that does not help, apply the Folder association fix from here:
