debug error in IE
Posted by Torrey Lauer on October 5th, 2005

I have one pc that is giving me a debug error message when trying to fill
out an online form.

The version of IE is 6.0 SP1.

Does anyone know what would cause the debug error to occur? Is there a way
to stop the debug error messages from appearing? I thought there was a way
uninstall the debug program, but I don't remember where I saw that recently.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Unless you want to do freelance script debugging.........

Open IE | Tools | Internet Options | Advanced tab |

CHECK:
 Disable script debugging
[Specifies whether you want to turn off your script debugger, if one is
installed. Script debuggers are used by Web site developers to test programs
and scripts on their Web pages.]

UNCheck:
Display a notification about every script error
[Specifies whether to display the actual script errors when a page does not
appear properly due to problems with its scripting. This feature is off by
default

I have seen that many times.
Unless you are a programmer just turn MDM.EXE off.
From within IE, Tools>Internet Options>Advanced...check the 'disable script
debugging' box. Click Apply>OK.
