- Default browser ; SBC DSL

My friend has SBC DSL with Windows Me. Sometimes it will keep asking
if she wants the browser to be the default browser. We are aware of
the Tools/Options checkbox for asking that. Do you know why
occasionally it will ask that if the checkbox is set right? I don't
have access to her computer right here.
I believe she uses only IE and not Netscape.

Typically, this prompt is trigged whenever another browser
that is not the default browser might have been used.

I've used Netscape along with IE (which was my default browser) and I
don't remember that dialog box appearing.
Do you know what else might trigger it?
