- default printer

When i got a new printer i set it as the default printer. However, every
morning when i turn my computer on the computer has reverted back to the old
printer as the default.
Does anyone know why this happening? Or, more importantly, what i can do to
stop it?

are you the administrator for the computer? If you only have user rights
then the machine will revert back to the default when restarted. You may
have to go in as administrator and change it.

Unfortunately I am the administrator for the computer... Can you think of any
other reason for it?

you are changing the default through the control panel and not through an
application correct?
