deleting $NtUninstall folders
Posted by Howard Kainz on December 7th, 2005

I followed the advice of a column in PC World magazine to delete these
folders in my C:\Windows drive. I had about 50 to start with. Every time I
deleted a folder, a Copy folder world appear. If I tried to delete the Copy
Folder, a little window would come up telling me it's making copy 2. If I
tried to delete Copy2, Copy 3 would be formed. Right now I am up to Copy 7,
with about 200 folders, using a tremendous amount of disk space. Can
anybody tell me how to simply delete these folders?

You are getting the copies because you're moving the mouse slightly
while doing it. Turn down the sensitivity of your mouse from the Mouse
applet in Control Panel. To remove the undesired folders, left-click on
the first one in the series and, while holding down the Shift key,
left-click on the last one in the series. This will select everything
in between. Now, since you have a bit of trouble with your mousing
steadiness, go to the File menu and left-click on Delete.
