Deleting the Windows folder!!!!!!
Posted by suha on December 6th, 2005

Dear all,
this is my first time here, i have faced a problem:
My friend deleted by mistake the WINDOWS folder from C:\ and now she can no
longer proceed with the Windows XP booting. Everything is blocked. She just
called me and was freaked out. Do you have an idea what we can do in this
case???
Thanks a lot.
Suha.

If she has truly deleted the Windows folder, she can, if available,
restore the machine from a full system backup. If no such backup exists
then the only remaining course of action would be to reinstall Windows
on the machine from the media that she has. Once Windows is reinstalled
and running, she will then also need to reinstall all software
applications on the machine.
