Picked up a virus that destroyed my favorites, address book, messages, et
al. Most everything is back now except the icon on the task bar which opens
the desktop. Where does XP hide this?

Thanks

Hi,

The information here from Doug Knox a Microsoft MVP will tell you how to get
the Show Desktop icon/shortcut back on your Quick Launch toolbar.

Geez, that was simple. Why didn't I think of that? I knew about Doug Knox
too. Shame on me.

Thanks again.

One thing I just noticed when I booted last time, I get a message something
along this line:

"boot.ini defective, booting from windows" or something like that.

Yet everything is working fine.
