desktop icons are all on taskbar!
Posted by Newtie on February 8th, 2008

Hi all-

Somehow, I've gotten myself into a sticky wicket. All of the regular desktop
icons (My Computer, My Documents, etc.) have gone south and now reside on the
taskbar. I can't figure out how to get everything back to normal, that is,
back up on the desktop where I can see it.

Thanks!
Mark

I'm not sure that it's "normal"--any shortcut icon can be on the
desktop, the Quick Launch Bar, both, or someplace else entirely--but
you can just drag them to the desktop.

Hi Ken-

Thanks for your quick reply. I tried that and it doesn't work. When I right
click on the taskbar and uncheck desktop, they disappear from the taskbar but
don't reappear on the desktop. Strange deal, that's for sure.
