- Desktop Restore Issue

Machine lost power in a blackout. The restore button generates the message:
Internet Explorer Script Error

Error Object doesn't support this action
Code 0
URL file///C:/Documents%20%and%20Settings/Administrator/Aplication% 20Data/Microsoft/Internet%20Explorer/Desktop.htt
Don't know how to resolve this issue... Guidance sought

Maurice,
It is possible that the file desktop.htt got tampered with (possibly by a Malware). Click Start, Run and type:
notepad "%appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop.htt"
Copy the contents and paste them along with your reply.
