- Desktop shortcut won't work

I use a particular program that is stored in a network server. I created a
shortcut to my workstation desktop for convenience. I would be able to open
it with no problem but after a few times, nothing happens when you click the
shortcut; there would just be a windows default beep sound with no error
window
