- Device Manager

I have two multimedia controllers listed in the device manager, both with
(code) 1 error as not being configured correctly. When I attempt to reinstall
or update the drivers it never finds the correct ones on my hard drive nor
can I extract them when pointing to the PC manufacturers drivers/utilities
disk.
Also another key feature I have seen on other PC's is where the update
hardware wizard will go to the web or possibly Microsoft to obtain driver
files for such items as Multimedia Controllers and this is not working.
Any assistance will be welcomed.

If you remove both entries and reboot, Windows should reinstall just one
instance.
