- Diable "Show In Groups" for ALL Folders
- Posted by Mr.Clean on September 30th, 2005
I'd like to be able to turn off the annoying "Show In Folders"
option in Exploder and make it STICK for all folders.
How do I do that?

Uncheck the 'Show in Groups' option, go to the Tools menu, Folder Options, select the View tab and click Apply to All Folders.

Download this REG made by Kelly [MS MVP]: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/bags8000.reg. Then try to establish again your folder preferences.

That should do it, if not post back. Thanks, Daniel for the mention.

Another related problem is that Explorer always comes up with no
Explorer Bar selected. I want it to open with the Folders Bar
selected. I can do that then Ctrl-Close and it still comes up
with none.
Any ideas?
