Differences of Acronis "OS Selector","Partition Expert" and "Disk Director" ??
Posted by Frank Callone on March 5th, 2006

I am confused about the many Parition software tools of Acronis.
Is the software that bad that they invent or re-name every month a new software ?

What are the differences ?

I have heard that OS Selector installs itself as a software into its own FAT partition.
That would be very dangerous. Is this true ?

I don't know why you would think that.

I have been using a DOS partition on my computers since Windows 3.0. I
presently have a 50 meg DOS partition just for my boot selector program
(System Commander), Partition Magic 8.01 and Drive Image 2002. These are DOS
programs and are meant to function best when run within DOS. System
Commander absolutely needs DOS (the version I am using).

Have you asked Acronis? After all, your question concerns their
product(s), not Windows.
