Direct X 3D
Posted by Learner on January 17th, 2006

Help. I have only recently started using XP SP2 on my laptop. As I boot up
dotted vertical lines appear in the XP logo. They reappear in certain games.
I ran the troubleshoooter and have followed every step. A message telling
me that DirectX3D has a problem I thought would be the answer. The test
failed on 8 and 9 and showed only a flat object instead of the 3D cube.

I downloaded the latest version of Direct X, all to no avail. Can anyone
guide me what to do ?

Thanks

Have you tried updating the video drivers from the cards manufacturer too?

There's a guide on how to do this at
