- directory sort
- Posted by rob p on March 9th, 2006
In windows 98 if I wanted to sort files and directories by access date I
could click modified on gray bar. Windows 98 would list folders first with
newest date descending down to oldest date. Click again and you get the
oldest starting with files listed first.
In XP, newest modified puts files first then folders. Click again for oldest
and folders show up.
I put a lot of digital pictures in folders named by date - 20060309yard and
it's much more convenient to have the newest folder show up at the top of a
modified sort.
Any way to fix ?
thanks

His message is appearing in two newsgroups, one of which is for XP
