Disk Cleanup - Compress Old Files Setting
Posted by Si on November 7th, 2005

When I right click on a drive and choose disk cleanup, I notice that one of
the results is "Compress Old Files" with about 9MB of files. Is there a way
to stop Windows compressing files I haven't accessed in a while? I have 4
drives in my PC, some of which have stuff that I don't use very often but
still want to keep (samples etc) and would very much like to turn this
feature off if possible.

Cheers.

Si

You don't have to pick commpress, but if you want to completely skip
even calculating, this will do that for you.
