I want to change my font style to Clear Type and cannot do so because
the Effects button on the Appearance tab of the Display Properties
windows dones nothing when I click on it. Does anyone know how to fix
it?

if you go to this site it has loads of registry file and number 236 will
allow you to enable cleartype
